Expertise
Alan’s primary areas of practice include industrial relations, land and commercial disputes as well as banking litigation.
In particular, Alan has successfully assisted his clients in defending a number claims from their former employees at the Industrial Court for unfair dismissal and provided legal advice to multiple clients’ human resources department in handling employment matters pertaining to industrial relations laws in Malaysia and Labour law in Sarawak.
Additionally, Alan has also assisted clients in resolving various land disputes such as defending claims relating to Native Customary Rights as well as assisting in the repossession of lands that were trespassed by third parties.
It is further within Alan’s expertise in assisting clients to resolve commercial and contractual disputes including breach of contracts, default in payment and obtaining order of specific performance from the Court. Alan also has experience in assisting banking clients with debt recovery, bankruptcy, repossession and foreclosure proceedings.
