Nicholas was made a Partner of Messrs. Reddi & Co. in 2018. He has extensive experience as a trial lawyer in the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak, Industrial Court and Labour Court, and has acted in contentious contractual disputes, land disputes, construction disputes and corporate disputes. In respect of alternative dispute resolution, Nicholas has represented clients in arbitration and adjudication proceedings for dispute arising from construction contracts.
Nicholas has succeeded in defending corporate clients against contractual claims tainted with breach of director’s fiduciary duties and the provisions of the Companies Act. Further, he has represented clients in disputes involving substantial trust properties and succeeded in seeking declaratory orders, injunctive reliefs, and equitable remedies including specific performance in favour of the firm’s clients.
Nicholas often advises and represents corporate employers in matters relating to employment and industrial relations law including dismissal of employees on grounds of serious misconduct, poor performance, retrenchment, employment contracts and judicial review. In this regard, he has represented clients in the Industrial Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court.
