Jane maintains a banking, conveyancing, corporate and commercial practice which involves advising on, reviewing and drafting agreements for development and construction projects, sale and purchase of real estates, corporate re-structures, employment & services and security documents for various financial institutions.
Jane was also previously a foreign counsel in the Republic of Singapore, whereby she advised public listed companies on major transactions and compliance with the Listing Manual in Singapore in respect of their general continuous obligations and implementation of corporate actions. She has also advised leading private equity groups in Singapore in their proposed strategic investment in real estate projects, equities and bonds and has been involved in the advice, review and drafting of private placement memorandum, investment management agreements, custodian agreements and administration agreements.
She has also undertaken transactions relating to initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions including foreign investments and joint ventures for both local and cross border transactions in Singapore and Malaysia. She has also contributed articles to Asian Legal Business and International Financial Law Review magazines.
Jane also has litigation experience in debt recovery, corporate insolvency, shareholders disputes, contractual disputes, tort, landlord and tenant disputes, insurance claims and industrial relations matters. She has also been involved in appeal cases in the Appellate Courts in matters relating to land disputes involving native customary rights claim in Sarawak.
